LOOKING FOR A RICH AND REWARDING VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY?
As a Cultural and Historical Services volunteer, you are part of a unique team. Our volunteers are all ages, come from all backgrounds, and are passionate about sharing their time, talents, and energy with us. We work hard to make each part of your experience positive and rewarding.

Cultural and HIstorical Services manages the Okotoks Art Gallery, the Okotoks Museum and Archives, and the Rotary Performing Arts Centre. There are number of volunteer roles with Cultural and Historical Services, including:
 

Special Events
Cultural and Historical Services organizes major events, including our annual Gala and exhibit openings. Volunteers are always needed to greet guests, take registrations, hand out programs, help with set-up, and various other activities. For more information, call 403.938.8936.

School Programs
If you enjoy art and like working with children, become a School Programs volunteer! The Okotoks Art Gallery and the Okotoks Museum and Archives offers a variety of programs each year to students ages 6 to 18. Volunteers must have some available time for tours during school hours and attend training sessions as required. Experience with children and some knowledge of art is desirable, but comprehensive training will be provided. For more information call 403.938.8936.

Family Studio Programs
Volunteers are needed to assist instructors with OKAY Club, our studio program for families. Classes are held on Saturdays and duties include setting up classrooms and materials, helping and supervising students and assisting with clean-up. Enjoy the experience of working with children in an art-making setting and sharing in their enthusiasm for art! For more information, call 403.938.8936.

It is our goal to ensure every volunteer with Cultural and Historical Services has a great experience, and to provide volunteers with meaningful, challenging and fulfilling volunteer opportunities.
