SEARCH TIPS

·         You may enter both keywords and phrases.  Example:   china “tea set”

·         To do a wildcard search use "*" at the end of a string of letters. Example: "ranch*" will find ranches, rancher, ranching, etc.

·         To narrow a search (boolean "and") use AND between the search terms. Example: "cowboy AND horse" will find records in which both words occur.

·         To broaden a search (boolean "or") use OR between the search terms. Example:  boat OR canoe will find records in which one of these terms occurs.

·         To search on a date range use ":" between the search terms. Example: "1950 : 1960" will find records with date information between and including the two years.

You may purchase the images from the Archives Photographs Catalogue in high-resolution digital format (tiff) shipped to you on CD.  Please download our Archives Photograph Order Form (Word Version) and return to us by FAX (403.938.8963) or by email.
