|
A modern art movement from the 1960s and 70s, the impact of Pop Art on our visual culture is still with us today. Featuring such works as Andy Warhol's iconic portraits of Wayne Gretzky, Karen Kain and Mao, Celebrity icons takes a wide-range and playful look at celebrity and the symbols of consumer culture that Pop Art first introduced as artistic subject matter forty years ago. The university of Lethbridge Collection is one of Canada's richest sources for Pop Art. |
