SUBMISSION FOR EXHIBITION | 2011
The deadline for submission of exhibition proposals is May 15, 2010. As per standard art gallery practice, the Gallery’s exhibition schedule is programmed a full year in advance. This enables the gallery to fulfill provincial and federal government funding requirements and provide adequate planning time to mount significant exhibitions that are supported through educational programs and public relations.
Selection of exhibits for 2011 will be finalized by August 31, 2010. A selection committee reviews the submissions and final selection occurs through studio visits and correspondence with artists and curators in whom the gallery has an interest.

Member’s Show and Sale events for 2011 are Art on the Lawn (September 18) and the Christmas Artisans Market (November 19 and 20). Cost is $20 for a table at each event; no commission taken.
The Artist Salon Program is currently accepting applications now. In the early 20th century, it was common for patrons of the arts to host a showing of new works by local artists. In keeping with that tradition, the Okotoks Museum and Archives will host a monthly solo artist show, sale and demonstration featuring members of the Okotoks Art Gallery. Light refreshments will be served. Cost to participate is $25; no commission taken.
The Municipal Centre | Art in the Hall is currently accepting applications for 2011. Each exhibit will open on the first of each month and close the last day of each month. This is a tremendous opportunity for artists to gain exposure to a diverse audience.
